Also any plug in drill will probably work. Tip 2 - Do Not Drill This Into The Center of Your Log. Drill on the edges of your log, it will split much easier that way and help to prevent the tool getting stuck. Tip 3 - Avoid knots like the plague. It will get stuck if you try to go through a knot. Tip 4 - If you drill on the left side of the log/wood then it will take advantage of the rotation of the drill. If you are drilling on the ground then put your knee or foot against the log to prevent it from spinning, or you can angle it a bit so it rotates into the ground. Best situation you have a table/station that you can use that maybe even has a stop built into it. Tip 5 - Works best to break down already split logs into smaller kindling or smaller logs to fit into a small stove.
